Central Vietnam Chemical Corps disinfects and sterilizes flooded areas in Da Nang

The forces of the 88th Chemical Brigade were divided into two groups in Dai Loc commune and Dien Ban ward.

In Dai Loc commune, Battalion 906 helped schools that were heavily flooded in the area to disinfect and treat the environment. In Dien Ban ward, the Central Region Center for Response to Toxic Chemical, Biological, Radiation, Nuclear and Counter-Terrorism Incidents carried out disinfection spraying in the entire area of Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, Dien Ban Ward People's Committee, Dien Ban Ward Public Administration Center, Nguyen Van Troi Park, Vinh Dien Market and schools...

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Dien Ban Ward, commented: "The Chemical Corps stepped in very promptly and professionally. In addition to spraying disinfectants at hospitals, schools, offices, and traditional markets, the soldiers also helped treat the environment in residential areas, entertainment areas, etc. It can be said that the disinfection work of the force plays a key role in preventing epidemics after prolonged floods."

Directly commanding the forces, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff of the 88th Chemical Brigade, said: "With a high sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers of the unit have completed spraying disinfectants and sterilization of hundreds of thousands of square meters in nearly 20 key areas in Da Nang City."
