According to Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), unlike previous years, this year the admission scores will be converted between groups and methods to create fairness for candidates. A major can be admitted using many groups, the difference in scores between groups will be adjusted according to the percentile.
The Ministry will announce the percentiles of the five traditional subject combinations A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English) early next week.
According to the plan, the Ministry of Education and Training is expected to announce the percentile of 5 traditional groups, including A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English) on July 21 or 22, at the same time as announcing the threshold to ensure input quality for the pedagogical and health sciences sectors.
This is the basis for candidates to refer to and for schools to refer to when building a conversion table of standard scores between methods and combinations.
At the event, parents and candidates have the opportunity to directly ask questions to be answered directly by the Advisory Board, including representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of National Defense, and representatives of several major universities and colleges.
In addition, about 160 consulting booths of training institutions were arranged, creating conditions for participants to learn about enrollment information, access training programs, learning environments as well as career orientation. Students will meet admissions representatives from schools they are interested in, and learn about study abroad opportunities and international joint programs implemented domestically and abroad.
Immediately after knowing the high school graduation exam scores, this is the time for candidates to register, adjust and supplement their admission wishes. According to this year's university admission regulations, all candidates must register for admission online, submitting all admission wishes to the general admission support system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Before registering for admission on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates need to carefully study the admission plans of the schools to choose a major, choose a school, know the subject combination for admission, and then register appropriate wishes, helping to increase the chance of admission.
Currently, many candidates are still confused when choosing their wishes, choosing the priority order of wishes for different majors and universities. Candidates will have a period of time to research, find information and officially register their wishes for admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system before 5:00 p.m. on July 28.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates register their admission wishes on the system from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28 (no limit on the number of wishes). After this deadline, candidates will not be able to change their registered wishes.
From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates pay admission fees online on the system.
On July 21, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold for ensuring input quality for teachers and health professionals with a license to practice.
From 5:00 p.m. on July 23, training institutions will announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and on the websites of the training institutions.
Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates will confirm their admission online on the system from 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
Training institutions (with remaining quotas) will announce additional enrollment from September 1.
