To temporarily overcome the landslide, Thu Bon commune authorities mobilized more than 50 people including the police, military , militia, youth, and local people to urgently use sandbags to build temporary embankments at landslide locations, especially those located close to houses in Tinh Yen village. At the same time, the authorities stretched warning ropes, barricades, and assigned people to monitor the landslide progress.

Meanwhile, the leader of Duy Nghia Commune People's Committee (Da Nang) said that from October 28 to 31, due to the impact of heavy rain, floodwater from upstream caused the entire An Luong embankment to be severely eroded, directly threatening the residential areas of An Luong village and Thuan An village, Duy Nghia commune.

To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, Duy Nghia Commune People's Committee has evacuated 64 households and 234 people living along the embankment to a safe place and continuously informed people on all means of transport.
