( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of April 4, in Hanoi, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army held a conference on Party and political work (CTĐ, CTCT) in the first quarter of 2024. Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense , Political Commissar of the General Staff chaired the conference.

According to the report at the conference, in the first quarter, the activities of the General Staff were deployed synchronously and comprehensively, completing the set programs and plans well. Notably, the directives, instructions and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff on combat readiness, building discipline and discipline management were thoroughly grasped and seriously studied; the effective propaganda of the military and defense work of the General Staff; the activities of visiting, inspecting and wishing the New Year to agencies and units by the Chief of the General Staff; the activities of "Repaying gratitude", showing gratitude to policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services on the occasion of the Lunar New Year; organizing a joyful, healthy, economical and safe New Year celebration. Party committees at all levels have successfully completed the summary of Party building and organization work for the 2020-2025 term, the summary of 15 years of implementing the Party Charter and the summary of implementing Directive No. 747-CT/QUTW dated July 23, 2019 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on Party congresses at all levels in the Army Party Committee towards the 13th National Congress of the Party; helping the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense to issue conclusions on leadership in implementing key tasks closely and in accordance with regulations. The Army and the General Staff focused on closely and effectively implementing activities to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; continuing to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement resolutions, directives, regulations and instructions from above on Party building work; strengthening the management, education and training of Party members; monitoring and guiding the implementation of Party building and Party building in tasks. Proactively grasp the situation, detect and inspect Party members and Party organizations with signs of violations; complete inspections of Party committees as planned.
