National Highway 51 is overloaded and degraded, showing the urgent need to soon deploy Ring Road 4. Ho Chi Minh City to share traffic volume. |
According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 has a total length of about 199km, passing through 5 localities: Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An. The route is invested according to the standards of a type A highway, with a design speed of 100km/h, a scale of 6-8 lanes, parallel roads and green corridors. Particularly for the section passing through Ba Ria-Vung Tau, the province has allocated 20 billion VND from the local budget to prepare for investment.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the agency in charge of preparing the pre-feasibility study report, coordinated with the provinces to complete the dossier and submit it to the Prime Minister by the end of February 2024. After receiving comments from the State Appraisal Council, the localities accepted and completed the dossier.
The Government Office is currently reviewing the project to submit to the National Assembly for approval in May 2025. Accelerating this strategic route will contribute to completing the inter-regional infrastructure network.
