Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang works with Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee

At the working session, General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Tay Ninh province have achieved in recent times in the fields of socio- economy , security, national defense and people-to-people diplomacy.

General Phan Van Giang suggested that in the coming time, the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee should continue to focus on leading and directing all levels and sectors to effectively implement key tasks to successfully complete socio-economic development targets associated with ensuring national defense and security in the area. In particular, it is necessary to focus on thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on the task of protecting the Fatherland; focus on leading and directing the implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system...

The province needs to focus on developing key economic sectors, creating a strong shift and a solid foundation to build a strong economic potential. In particular, it is necessary to prioritize resources to invest in developing transport infrastructure, developing border economic zones to exploit the maximum potential and advantages of the province...

The Minister of National Defense noted that Tay Ninh province, under any circumstances, must fulfill its task of firmly protecting national border sovereignty, protecting people and land; attach importance to strengthening national defense and security potential; focus on building an all-people national defense and a solid all-people defense posture associated with a solid people's security and people's security posture.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, reported on the results of the province's socio-economic development, national defense, security and people's foreign affairs in the past time. Accordingly, from the beginning of 2025 up to now, all levels and sectors in the province have focused on effectively implementing the proposed programs and plans. The province's economic growth rate (9 months of 2025) leads the Southeast region, reaching 9.52%; the state budget revenue in the first 10 months of 2025 reached nearly 44,000 billion VND, an increase of 38% over the same period last year... Besides, the cultural and social fields of the province have achieved many positive results; people's lives have been constantly improved; the work of building the Party and the political system has been carried out by all levels and sectors in the province with quite good results.

In the field of national defense and security, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee always pays attention to leading and directing to raise awareness of the province's important strategic position; promptly issues documents to lead and direct local military and defense work, especially right after the province's merger and implementation of two-level local government.

Thoroughly grasping and implementing the viewpoint of protecting the Fatherland "early, from afar" and the motto "helping friends is helping yourself", helping friends both materially and spiritually, the Party's foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people's foreign affairs activities have been promoted and put into practice by Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province; international cooperation continues to be strengthened; coordination and information exchange with localities and relevant agencies of the neighboring country are maintained regularly; cooperation agreements with three neighboring provinces of Cambodia are implemented effectively, promptly removing obstacles, preventing complicated incidents from arising, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and sustainable development border area.

Also at the meeting, General Phan Van Giang witnessed the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement (2026 - 2030 period) between Viettel Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, the Minister of National Defense also, on behalf of the Central Military Commission, presented Tay Ninh province with a social security bridge worth 30 billion VND.

* On the same day, November 12, General Phan Van Giang and his delegation visited and worked with Division 5, Military Region 7 (stationed in Tay Ninh). Here, General Phan Van Giang praised the results that Division 5 had achieved in recent times, especially in carrying out training tasks, combat readiness and mass mobilization work.

The Minister of National Defense requested the Party Committee and the Division Commander to continue reviewing and perfecting the work program and plan for 2025; regularly maintain strict combat readiness; proactively coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and relevant forces to maintain political stability, order and social security in the stationed area and border areas.
