At the invitation of Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son will pay an official visit to Singapore from July 17-19.

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1973-2023) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Partnership (2013-2023).
The Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Partnership is developing steadily and expanding in most areas of cooperation, especially after high-level visits by leaders of the two countries in recent years. The most recent was the visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Singapore (February 2023).
Singapore ranks second among 143 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with more than 3,200 projects and 73.4 billion USD in registered capital. Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) continue to operate effectively and are a symbol of success in investment cooperation.
In 2022, the total import-export turnover between the two countries will reach 9.1 billion USD, up 11.6% compared to 2021; of which, Vietnam's exports to Singapore will reach 4.3 billion USD, up 9.4% compared to 2021; Vietnam's imports from Singapore will reach 4.8 billion USD, up 13.5% compared to 2021.
