Minister Nguyen Manh Hung congratulated the Central Committee members who have risen through the ranks of the Science and Technology sector.

On January 23rd, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) organized a meeting and exchange with members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam who have risen through the ranks of the science and technology sector. The event aimed to continue the tradition of connecting generations of leaders, sharing practical experiences, and discussing major orientations for the science and technology sector to contribute more strongly to the country's rapid and sustainable development in the new era.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, along with other members of the Central Committee of the Party and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Party, have risen through the ranks of the science and technology sector.

Attending the meeting were: Comrade Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Science and Technology ; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Lam, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Government Party Committee, Director General of Vietnam Television; Comrade Tran Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Comrade Pham Anh Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province; Comrade Tao Duc Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Lieutenant General, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel); Comrade Bui The Duy, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Full-time Member of the Central Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation (S&T, S&T & D&T). Bui Hoang Phuong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with leaders of central agencies, representatives of ministries, departments and branches, and leaders of units under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung extended his congratulations to the Central Committee members and alternate Central Committee members who have risen through the ranks of the science and technology sector.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung extended his congratulations to the Central Committee members and alternate members of the Central Committee who have grown from the science and technology sector; and expressed his joy at meeting them from various periods in a warm and cordial atmosphere. The Minister emphasized that the growth of generations of cadres from the science and technology sector is a source of pride and a testament to the increasingly prominent role of science and technology in the country's development.

The Minister stated that the country is entering a special stage of development, where science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming the central driving forces. In this context, the demands placed on the science and technology sector are to make stronger breakthroughs, act faster, and be more decisive; most importantly, to "produce concrete products," create substantive changes, and contribute directly to productivity and growth.

In particular, the Minister emphasized the viewpoint that for breakthrough development, the institutions must also be breakthrough. Policy, legal, and mechanism work needs to be implemented with a constructive mindset, focusing on removing bottlenecks to unleash resources, pave the way for innovation, and create an environment for those who truly work and create real value. When the country sets the goal of accelerating development and aiming for double-digit growth, the science and technology sector must make a clear contribution and cannot stand aside from the growth story.

In the major development orientations, many development targets have been set, from raising income levels to the upper-middle group, aiming for milestones such as $8,500 per person and further to $50,000 per person. To realize these goals, the Minister emphasized the need for continuous acceleration over many years; in which productivity, technology, and innovation must accelerate at the same pace, or even ahead, to create room for further development.

The Minister acknowledged that along with joy, confidence, and expectations comes great pressure, but it is positive pressure, putting the science and technology sector in its rightful place in the modern era. The country has a good opportunity and a strong aspiration to rise; the key issue is how to seize this opportunity and how effectively. The Minister also emphasized the lesson of willpower, aspiration, and unity: if willpower and action are unified, even the most difficult tasks can be accomplished; if each unit and each official "rises quickly and works strongly," transforming tasks into products and policies into measurable results, the science and technology sector will make a clear difference in the new stage of the country's development.
