Reporting at the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnam Sports Delegation, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games Nguyen Hong Minh expressed the joy and sincere thanks of the entire delegation for the attention of Minister Nguyen Van Hung.

Head of the delegation Nguyen Hong Minh said that there are currently 28 teams with 552 members in Thailand. In the past time, some teams have entered the competition according to the schedule of the Organizing Committee. Today, the delegation will welcome 160 more athletes, including key teams such as athletics, swimming, archery...
"The athletes have tried their best to compete well in the past few days. The Vietnamese Sports Delegation has also promptly made recommendations to the Organizing Committee about some difficulties and problems and worked with the teams to overcome the difficulties, creating the best conditions for the athletes. The delegation will strive to achieve the highest results as promised to the Prime Minister and the Minister before leaving."
Kindly asking if the athletes had any difficulties in eating, accommodation, nutrition, and transportation, the Minister directed the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to continue to coordinate well with the host country's Organizing Committee to take the best care of the athletes.
According to the Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation has been thoroughly prepared in terms of expertise, spirit, will, psychology, and training equipment.

However , each Congress is different, so there are problems that arise and do not follow the plan. The Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department has directed the Delegation to overcome them and ensure regular information sharing, timely sharing, and overcoming difficulties. The Director of the Sports and Physical Training Department affirmed the determination and competitive spirit and hoped that the coaches and athletes would strive to complete the set goals.
At the meeting, the Minister also took the time to listen to the feedback from the team leaders, especially on the shortcomings that need to be overcome. The Minister directed the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to continue to coordinate with the host country's Organizing Committee to remove difficulties and obstacles during the entire delegation's competition in Thailand.
Efforts to fulfill the promise to the Prime Minister
Speaking at the warm and friendly meeting, Minister Nguyen Van Hung conveyed the best wishes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the entire delegation. The Minister said that with the authorization of the Prime Minister, the Minister had gone to Thailand since December 8 to attend the SEA Games Opening Ceremony. Information about the teams' competition process has been continuously updated by the Minister through the mass media.

The Minister expressed that due to conditions, the meeting could not have all members of the Sports Delegation. "This is a meeting, although small in scope but of great significance, in addition to showing the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation also welcomed the Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand and reporters from news agencies to attend, report and encourage the competitive spirit of the whole delegation.
The Minister hopes that the coaches and athletes will strive to fulfill their promise to the Prime Minister before departure, bringing joy and pride to fans and people across the country.
According to the Minister, the 33rd SEA Games is the largest sports event in the region, and is now the 33rd edition. Vietnam has had the honor of hosting and organizing the event twice, and in the two most recent Games, we have led the Games, which is a testament to the efforts of coaches and athletes as well as the right direction in sports development.

The Minister emphasized that sports achievements must go from low to high, through regional competitions before approaching continental and world competitions. The Minister hopes that the Vietnamese Sports Delegation must be very determined, compete to win, not only to improve achievements but also to represent the flag and colors of the Fatherland.
"Each officer and coach competing at the SEA Games not only performs their professional duties well but is also a cultural ambassador, promoting the image of the country, a friendly and hospitable destination, and the image of resilient and determined Vietnamese people," the Minister said, hoping that when competing, each athlete will fan the "flame" of patriotism and national pride to further clarify the good nature of the Vietnamese people.

The Minister also appreciated the Vietnam Sports Administration and related units for their careful preparation for the Vietnam Sports Delegation. The Minister reminded each coach and athlete of the attention of the Party and State leaders; the support and follow-up of the people, fans, and reporters of news agencies. That is a great encouragement and motivation for the athletes and coaches.
The Minister also hoped that the entire delegation would overcome difficulties, together with the Organizing Committee and friends from countries in the region, to contribute to the overall success of the Games. The Minister said that the 33rd SEA Games took place in a difficult context, so the coaches and athletes of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation should join hands to express the message of peace, solidarity, and friendship for a sustainable and prosperous ASEAN community.
It can be said that the visit and encouragement of Minister Nguyen Van Hung has added strength and confidence for Vietnamese athletes to step forward and achieve the highest results in upcoming competitions.
