On the morning of June 11, the Ministry of National Defense organized the 24th Creative Youth in the Army Award. The 24th award continued to be widely deployed throughout the army, with 777 works from 42 participating units in the following fields: Information technology; Military social sciences and humanities; Chemistry, materials, environment; Education and training, Military training; Weapons - Ammunition; Electronics, telecommunications, automation; Mechanics, dynamics, military construction; Military logistics; Military medicine and pharmacy; Culture and arts.
Most projects and initiatives are of good quality, have practical effects on national defense - security, socio-economy , and are strictly evaluated and accepted at the grassroots level.

Many particularly important topics and initiatives, mastering basic technology, core technology, alternative material technology, containing military and national secrets, applying digital transformation, proposing new and advanced technical solutions, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the Army's modernization.
The Award Council has appraised and selected 429 awarded works (183 topics, 246 initiatives), including 6 first prizes; 94 second prizes; 150 third prizes; and 179 consolation prizes.
Speaking at the award ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, emphasized that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense identified science and technology development as one of the important political tasks; regularly pay attention to leading and directing the entire army and the youth of the Army to participate in research, development and effective application of science and technology in military and defense activities.
"Science and technology have matured, developed steadily and comprehensively, and achieved many important results. Many fields and sectors such as military science and technology, military social sciences and humanities, military science and technology, logistics science, military medicine and pharmacy... have been researched, developed and successfully applied a number of cutting-edge technologies in organizing command, education and training, operations, training, combat readiness, exploitation, management, preservation, repair, improvement of weapons, equipment and manufacturing of products serving the military and national defense", said Minister Phan Van Giang.

According to Minister Phan Van Giang, in military science activities, the Creative Youth Award is a bright spot, demonstrating the creative spirit, enthusiasm and aspiration to conquer scientific heights of the Army's youth.
General Phan Van Giang expressed his impression when visiting the exhibition booths at the award ceremony. He said he had many impressions and emotions when reading the appendices of 777 initiatives and 429 scientific topics that were awarded.
The Minister shared that there are many young people from different units, from contract workers, civil servants to professional soldiers, participating and leading the project. "The award is very developed. Where the youth develop strongly, those places will develop more and more," the General affirmed.
The awarded collectives and individuals are outstanding representatives among thousands of advanced models of the entire army's youth. They are "bright flowers in the garden of emulation and determination to win" of the entire army.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized that the situation and tasks of the revolution and the Army in the new period place extremely heavy responsibilities on the shoulders of the young generation of Vietnam and the Army youth.
The leaders of the Ministry of National Defense noted that the development of military science must be considered one of the main driving forces to build a modern army, and the youth of the army must be considered the shock force to develop military science.
"Youth is a dream, an ambition, a creativity; Party committees and commanders at all levels must direct the creativity of youth into carrying out the political tasks of the unit, in building the unit, and building the Army," the Minister assigned the task.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung awarded certificates of merit to 16 authors and groups of authors whose works won first prize.
