Hanoi Capital Command transported more than 30 tons of goods to Gia Lai people

On the night of November 28, more than 30 tons of goods donated by Hanoi residents were transported and delivered directly to the flood victims in Gia Lai province by officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Capital Command.

These are goods mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city to mobilize people to contribute: Rice, instant noodles, warm clothes, blankets, medicine... carefully packaged by officers and soldiers of the Capital Command, transported to the people of Gia Lai.

Captain Vu Quoc Khanh, the commander of the convoy, said that early in the morning of November 27, when Hanoi was still immersed in darkness, at the 301st Infantry Division, officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Capital Command's Cargo Transport Team set off on a journey of more than 1,200km, carrying the sentiments of the people of the capital to the people of Gia Lai.

“The trip is very special, not only transporting goods, but also carrying the trust and affection of the people of the capital. Therefore, in addition to choosing healthy drivers, good driving skills, and rich experience in handling traffic situations when driving the lead car, our unit also built a specific and meticulous plan, especially which route to lead the group to ensure the fastest and safest way”, Captain Vu Quoc Khanh shared.

At exactly 8:00 p.m. on November 28, the convoy of the Hanoi Capital Command arrived at the Binh Dinh Youth Center, where relief goods were gathered for the people of Gia Lai.

Colonel Vu Dinh Hung, Deputy Head of Logistics - Engineering, Hanoi Capital Command, Head of the transport delegation, said that to prepare for the journey of more than 1,200km to bring more than 30 tons of relief goods to Gia Lai, the delegation had made a detailed plan many days in advance. The goods were carefully packaged and arranged scientifically , from rice bags, instant noodle boxes, medicine to warm clothes, blankets, all were checked to ensure they arrived at the gathering place in Gia Lai safely and intact.
