The University of Transport has just handed over to the Railway Project Management Board, Ministry of Construction, the translation of 193 sets of railway standards. This is a valuable reference source for the railway industry to learn from and apply to Vietnam when developing modern railways.
The above information was reported by the leaders of the University of Transport to Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh this afternoon, November 14, at the Science and Technology Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the University of Transport.

Associate Professor Nguyen Van Hung, Principal of the University of Transport, said that the 193 sets of standards mentioned above are products made under an economic contract with the Railway Project Management Board, and were urgently implemented by the school's staff and lecturers in a short time.
Of the 193 sets of standards, 59 are European, the rest are Chinese. In particular, there are 29 sets of Chinese unit price norms, which are very valuable documents for the railway industry to apply to Vietnam in the future when implementing key national railway projects.
Recently, the University of Transport has been approved by the Ministry of Construction for many major projects. The school has closely coordinated with the specialized agencies of the Ministry of Construction to develop and implement new training programs for all 5 majors in the field of high-speed railways since March.
Currently, the University of Transport is the only training institution in Vietnam that fully integrates the newest and most modern knowledge of railway training programs in the world according to international standards in its training programs.
Recently, the school also organized a second degree training program, fostering knowledge and skills in modern railways for more than 2,000 engineers in the transportation industry.
Recognizing the school's proactive and pioneering coordination with the Ministry of Construction in implementing many key scientific and technological tasks, Minister Tran Hong Minh suggested that the school should focus resources and promote its role as a locomotive of science and technology in the transport sector. At the same time, successfully carry out specific tasks such as participating in the construction and operation of the national key railway industrial complex - laboratory, continuing to directly participate in key national transport projects; continuing to improve training programs, improving learning materials for fields of the construction sector...
The University of Transport is a training institution under the Ministry of Education and Training. Currently, the Ministry of Construction is the school's biggest "customer" in terms of human resource training as well as research and application of science and technology.
