According to the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health ), the product under warning is a2 Platinum Premium USA infant formula 0-12 months, powdered with added iron (a2 Platinum Premium infant formula 0-12 months Milk-based powder with Iron).

Immediately after receiving information from the US, on May 4, 2026, the Food Safety Department issued công văn (official letter) No. 750/ATTP-SP to the Departments of Health, Food Safety Departments, and Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-departments of provinces and cities, requesting a review of self-declarations and market inspection and supervision of this product.

On the same day, this agency also sent official letter No. 749/ATTP-SP to the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), requesting a review of business activities related to the product on e-commerce platforms.

According to a report dated May 16, 2026, from the Ninh Binh Provincial Food Safety Department, this unit has never received any self-declaration applications or issued registration certificates for the a2 Platinum Premium USA brand infant formula for infants aged 0-12 months, which is subject to a warning.

However, Song Lanh Business and Trade Services Co., Ltd., located in Kim Binh commune, Phu Ly city, former Ha Nam province (now Phu Van ward, Ninh Binh province), has been granted 6 product registration certificates and has self-declared 8 milk and food supplement products under the brand name "a2".

Because these products share the same "a2" brand name, on May 15th, the Ninh Binh Provincial Food Safety Department worked with the business to review its import and trading activities.

The results of the review of records and documents provided by the company show that there has been no evidence of the company importing or trading in a2 Platinum Premium USA powdered infant formula with added iron, manufactured by A2 Milk Company - a product currently under warning in the US.

On May 20, 2026, Living Well Business Solutions and Trading Services Co., Ltd. continued to submit a report to the relevant authorities.

The company stated that it had reviewed all import records, warehouse data, and distribution systems. The results confirmed that the company did not import, trade, or distribute in the Vietnamese market the three batches of products subject to voluntary recall in the United States.

According to the company, the a2 milk products currently distributed in Vietnam are a different product line, manufactured for the Australia/New Zealand market, and are not among the batches that were flagged in the US.

The company also affirmed that all products circulating in Vietnam are officially imported, with complete legal documentation, traceability records, batch code control, and a clear distribution system.

Notably, after receiving the warning, the company proactively sent 8 samples of infant formula products currently circulating in Vietnam to the National Institute of Food Safety and Hygiene Testing (Ministry of Health) for testing.

The results showed that none of the samples contained Bacillus cereus bacteria – the type of bacteria capable of producing Cereulide toxin – nor were Cereulide toxin detected in the tested samples.

The business commits to fully complying with all legal regulations on food safety, cooperating with authorities in the inspection, verification, and management of product quality, and is legally responsible for the content of the report.

The Food Safety Department stated that it will continue to request relevant units to strengthen the review of self-declared products, market supervision, and business activities on e-commerce platforms to ensure the health and safety of consumers, especially infants and young children.
