The Ministry of Health received 20 tons of chemicals to support localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome the consequences of floods.

On the morning of November 25, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, a ceremony was held to receive 10 tons of Vi-Chlorine and 10 tons of Chloramine B, chemicals used to disinfect water and the environment, and prevent epidemics, donated by the Vietnam Chemical Group.

Attending the chemical donation ceremony on behalf of the Ministry of Health were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health; Representatives of leaders of Departments, Offices and Centers under the Ministry of Health.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health sincerely thanks the timely, responsible and meaningful support of Vietnam Chemical Group in the context that many localities are suffering heavy damage due to natural disasters.

On behalf of Vietnam Chemical Group, there were Mr. Phung Quang Hiep - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Group and representatives of departments and offices of Vietnam Chemical Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said that in recent days, the Ministry of Health has deployed activities to support localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

At the same time, key working groups of the preventive health and medical examination and treatment system in units under the Ministry of Health have carried out many accompanying activities to support localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

"The need for chemicals to treat the environment and control epidemics after floods is extremely urgent and more resources are needed to support localities in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods. The Ministry of Health would like to express its gratitude for the timely, responsible and meaningful support of the Vietnam Chemical Group in the context that many localities are suffering heavy damage due to natural disasters," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said that the cooperation and companionship of the Vietnam Chemical Group with the Ministry of Health to provide resources to support localities in disease prevention and disinfection of clean water sources after storms and floods is a very meaningful activity.

"The Ministry of Health acknowledges and appreciates the Group's practical support and accompaniment, and expresses its hope that the Group will continue to accompany the Ministry of Health to support localities in responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong also requested that the Group, in addition to accompanying the Ministry of Health, devote more resources to accompany and support localities in overcoming the consequences of floods.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong assigned the Department of Disease Prevention to be the focal point to receive and coordinate with localities on the basis of proposals to distribute promptly and provide instructions for proper and effective use.

Speaking at the event, Phung Quang Hiep, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Chemical Group, said that the enterprise always identifies social responsibility as part of its sustainable development strategy.

As a key unit of the chemical industry, the Group not only makes important contributions to the production of fertilizers, basic chemicals, and products serving people's lives, but also regularly accompanies the Ministry of Health in disease prevention, supporting chemicals and medical supplies when natural disasters and epidemics occur.
