The Ministry of Health requested the recall and destruction of many cosmetic products that violated regulations.

QNgTV- The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued many decisions to suspend circulation, recall and destroy dozens of violating cosmetic products nationwide.

These products are the responsibility of a number of companies, with violations including: products identified as counterfeit, failing to meet quality standards for microbial limits, or not having a Product Information File (PIF) when requested by authorities for inspection.

The Drug Administration has requested the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities to immediately notify cosmetic businesses and users in the area to stop trading and using violating products and return them to the suppliers. The Department of Health needs to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the implementation of this notice and strictly handle violators according to current regulations.

In particular, the Department also directed the Testing Center to increase sampling and quality inspection of cosmetic products, and set up a hotline to receive information about fake cosmetics, smuggled cosmetics, and cosmetics of unknown origin in the area.
