Fostering grassroots cultural vitality from the 2025 National Residential Mass Arts Festival

The mass arts movement has continued to develop in localities in recent times.

This year's festival has the participation of 12 mass art troupes from the following provinces and cities: An Giang, Hanoi , Quang Ngai, Son La, Tay Ninh, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Quang Ninh and Vinh Long.

The opening ceremony and welcoming performance will take place on the evening of November 15 at Hai Ba Trung Square, Long Xuyen Ward. The art troupes will perform from November 16 to 18. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be on November 19.

The program consists of 2 parts: "Shining Journey - Connecting residential culture" and a comprehensive art performance of singing, dancing and music. The content focuses on themes praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, country, people and love between couples; praising the tradition of national solidarity, the tradition of revolutionary struggle, the cultural identity of the homeland; criticizing bad habits, backward customs; building a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals; praising good people, good deeds, the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community; introducing and promoting cultural identity, customs, folk songs, folk dances, national musical instruments, traditional costumes of regions, while promoting the image of a dynamic and united community.

With diverse performances and vivid performances, the 2025 National Residential Mass Arts Festival promises to create a widespread impact, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.

This is also an opportunity for artists and mass actors to exchange, learn, and foster their love for the profession, while affirming the enduring vitality of the mass art movement at the grassroots level. This activity also creates opportunities for villages, hamlets, and cultural neighborhoods to meet, exchange experiences, and share good practices and effective models in implementing the movement to build a cultural life.

Thereby, replicating advanced models, promoting traditional cultural values, encouraging the mass cultural and artistic movement to develop more substantially and effectively.

Many folk performing heritages have been maintained and passed down through generations mainly from the mass art movement.

In addition to the significance of propagating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, enhancing social consensus and the people's active response, especially in the reorganization of administrative units and the implementation of the two-level local government model, this is also an opportunity to widely deploy the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", creating positive changes in building cultural families, villages, hamlets, agencies and units; contributing to the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people and building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity.

Therefore, this year's festival aims to honor typical residential areas, collectives and individuals who have made many positive contributions to the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", patriotic emulation movements and social security activities in residential communities. Through that, it contributes to socio-economic development, maintaining national security and defense, arousing cultural traditions and the spirit of national solidarity towards the goal of building a rich, beautiful and civilized country.

The Organizing Committee will award souvenir cups to participating delegations, along with A and B prizes for the two main competitions, and certificates of merit to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements.
