Ethnic language training for officers and soldiers of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard

On November 11, at the Training-Mobile Battalion, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command organized the opening of the 2025 ethnic knowledge training course for officers and professional soldiers working at the base, regularly contacting, propagating, and mobilizing ethnic minorities in the border area.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Le Ngoc Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Dak Lak province; Colonel Ro Lan Ngan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command.

During the 3-day course, students will study 7 topics with contents on ethnic minority communities and ethnic relations in Vietnam; the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines on ethnic issues and ethnic affairs; the State's laws and policies on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; ethnic minority culture; the grassroots political system; ensuring national defense and security in ethnic and mountainous areas; and some contents on the role of the Army in resolving complex situations related to ethnicity and religion.

The class also focuses on practicing communication skills and mass mobilization methods appropriate to the customs and practices of each locality.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Ro Lan Ngan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, affirmed: Ethnic affairs and ethnic policies have long-term strategic significance in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Correctly understanding and mastering the language, customs and cultural life of ethnic minorities not only creates a foundation for a strong military-civilian bond but also contributes to strengthening the great national unity bloc, maintaining political stability, social order and security and national border sovereignty .

The Deputy Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command emphasized: The training course is an opportunity to help officers and soldiers better understand the culture, customs and practices of ethnic minorities, know how to effectively apply them to propaganda work, mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; actively participate in socio-economic development, preserve cultural identity, strengthen national solidarity, firmly protect national sovereignty and border security.
