Professional training for drivers and tourist service staff

On December 9, in Phan Thiet ward, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province coordinated with Saigon Tourism College to organize a tourism training course for drivers and service staff on tourist transport vehicles in 2025.

The training course was attended by more than 130 students who are business owners, drivers and service staff on tourist transport vehicles.

Attending the training course were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches and more than 130 trainees who are business owners, drivers and service staff on tourist transport vehicles at tourist service establishments in the Eastern Lam Dong area. Especially, establishments that sell tourism products that pose a risk to the life and health of tourists.

Representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province delivered the opening speech of the training course.

Speaking at the training course, a representative of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that drivers and service staff on transport vehicles are the ones who regularly come into contact with tourists throughout the journey. At the same time, the eastern region of Lam Dong is home to many adventure tourism products associated with tourist transport by car.

Therefore, the training course aims to foster and improve professional expertise and communication skills for trainees working at tourist establishments, contributing to meeting the conditions for recognizing adventure tourism products according to regulations and bringing tourists better experiences.

Lecturer Pham Duc Minh, Saigon College of Tourism, imparts a lot of knowledge about tourism.

During the 3-day training course from December 9 to 11, trainees will be provided with knowledge about transportation in tourism; communication skills, behavioral culture, tourist service for drivers and car service staff; the psychology of each domestic and foreign tourist market...

In addition, students also have access to knowledge of first aid and handling of emergency situations (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid for choking on foreign objects, trauma - wounds, treatment of common diseases and accidents) ... to ensure the safety of tourists during the journey.
