Four fishing boats caught fire while anchored.

On the morning of January 15th, Mr. Vo Quoc Nam, Head of the Economic Department of Binh Son commune (Quang Ngai province), reported that a fire had broken out on four fishing boats while they were anchored in the commune.

Specifically, at approximately 1:00 AM on January 15th, a fire broke out at the Tra Bong River mooring area (My Tan village, Binh Son commune), burning four fishing boats. Three of these belonged to fishermen from Binh Son commune: the QNg-95221TS owned by Mr. Le Hong Son (approximately 95% burned); the QNg-95554 TS owned by Mr. Nguyen Khac Vi (approximately 95% burned); and the QNg-90735 TS owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lam (approximately 20% burned). The QNg-95138 TS owned by Ms. Bui Thi Tuong Vy (residing in Van Tuong commune) was approximately 70% burned.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Force ( Quang Ngai Provincial Police) quickly coordinated with local authorities and residents to organize firefighting efforts.

By approximately 6:00 AM on January 15th, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still being investigated by the authorities.
