In set 1, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team started off well with a 5-point lead, but instability in the first step and the setter being caught out caused Cambodia to tie the score.
It was not until Phan Cong Duc and Nguyen Thanh Hai were brought onto the field that the game improved. The coordination started to become more coherent, Quoc Du and Ngoc Thuan took advantage of effective scoring opportunities to win by a narrow margin of 25-23.
In the second set, Cambodia continued to cause trouble but Vietnam maintained its concentration. Ngoc Thuan's decisive attacks on the net and Thanh Hai's solidity helped Vietnam maintain a 4-5 point gap and end the set with a score of 25-19.
Set 3 witnessed an explosive performance from coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team. Cambodia tried to shorten the score in the middle of the set, but could not overcome the solidarity and fighting spirit of Vietnam. The 25-21 victory in this set ended the perfect match.
In the end, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team defeated Cambodia 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-21), creating favorable psychological momentum in the second round of SEA V.League 2025.
