School football festival returns in Ho Chi Minh City. |
More than 480 young players from 32 primary schools eagerly entered the first day of competition, creating a bright and energetic atmosphere.
Previously, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation, sponsors and the Organizing Committee. In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized the goal of creating a professional and safe playground, thereby helping students practice their health, coordination skills and love for football.
The sponsor representative also said that accompanying the tournament comes from the desire to contribute to the development of school sports and fuel the passion of the young generation.
The oath-taking ceremony of the referees and player representatives created a beautiful moment, demonstrating the spirit of fair play and commitment to fair competition. This is considered the foundation for exciting matches while still ensuring youth football standards.

This year’s tournament is divided into 8 groups, each consisting of 4 teams. After the group stage, the teams continue to compete in four groups: Champion A, B, C, D. This model ensures that no team is eliminated early, while increasing the opportunities for competition, practice and experience for all players.
The Yamaha Cup 2025 will take place on November 29 and 30, for players born in 2015-2016. Each team can register a maximum of 15 players and 4 coaching staff members, including at least 2 goalkeepers.
The opening ceremony this morning shows that the tournament is not only a competition but also an inspirational playground, contributing to promoting the school football movement in Ho Chi Minh City.
