No need for loud advertising or tricks to attract views, just simple footage, familiar Vietnamese dishes have been told by young people with real emotions.
From typical Western dishes such as vermicelli with fish sauce and rice cakes with pork skin to Saigon broken rice and Hanoi vermicelli with grilled pork, each dish carries its own story of the maker and the eater.
After a series of videos went viral on social media platforms, the reviewed restaurants suddenly became popular and crowded.

Bao Tran (21 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "I went out to eat because I saw review clips and culinary videos of famous people. I was curious to see if the actual experience was different from what I saw online.
I used to eat bun mam, which only cost about 30,000 - 40,000 VND, so when I saw this restaurant selling it for 130,000 VND, I wanted to try it to see what was special.
I read many comments saying the price is high, but after eating it, I found the broth to be rich in flavor, the meat and shrimp were very fresh, the portion was large and the quality was worth the price.

In this wave, the traders who keep the family food tradition also feel this big change.
Mr. Trung, the owner of the Banh Tam Bi (rice vermicelli with pork skin) shop in Tan Phu, shared: "Banh Tam Bi (rice vermicelli with pork skin) is a traditional dish of my family. My mother was the first to sell it, then she stopped for a while, and then I continued to keep the soul of this dish."
He also shared that the restaurant specializes in Western-style rice vermicelli noodles. The speciality of this dish is the coconut milk and fish sauce mixed with it, which makes customers find it strange but very compatible, making people remember it forever.

For young people, food is not just about filling their stomachs but also a way to enjoy the flavor and convey that delicious flavor to many people.
The "review-based" effect is no longer a passing trend, but it is also a way for young people to promote Vietnamese cuisine. Delicious restaurants are breaking out, and traditional family restaurants also have more motivation to pass on their flavors.
Vietnamese cuisine has come back to life from the common people not thanks to advertising or tricks but thanks to the genuine feelings of the young generation when eating.
