In the early days of the new year 2026, along Mai Chi Tho Street, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City , hundreds of pomelo trees of the Dien variety were displayed, their vibrant yellow blossoms a striking sight.
According to Mr. Cao Quang Ha, owner of Thanh Giang orchard, this year's Dien pomelos are mainly imported from Hung Yen , combined with trees that the orchard owner himself has cared for and brought to Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the orchard only supplies yellow-fruited Dien pomelos. Prices range from approximately 5.5 million to 60 million VND per tree, depending on size and the number of fruits. To date, about 30% of the production has been delivered, mainly to regular customers who pre-ordered or through tree exchanges from the previous year.
According to the owner of Thanh Giang orchard, the supply of Dien pomelos is scarce this year, and the production in orchards in Hung Yen has almost run out.

According to Mr. Ha, the highlight of this year's Dien pomelos in his orchard is their large size and completely natural development. All the fruits are nurtured by the trees themselves, without grafting or the use of stimulants. As a result, many fruits weigh around 4-5 kg, creating an impressive display of size and quality.
According to Mr. Ha, the supply of Dien pomelos is scarce this year, with production in orchards in Hung Yen almost depleted. Therefore, the likelihood of them selling out is very high, especially for beautiful trees with many fruits. Buyers who hesitate may find it difficult to choose a tree they like.
Sharing further information from the workers at the orchard, Ms. Hoang Thi Minh said that the import price of pomelos is higher this year, while the supply of trees is limited due to the impact of flooding. Customers are currently still exploring options, and demand is expected to increase sharply as the Lunar New Year approaches.
Even from the same pomelo tree, the pomelos can vary in size.

More than just an ornamental plant for Tet (Lunar New Year), the Dien pomelo also carries auspicious feng shui meanings, symbolizing wealth, luck, and prosperity. With its vibrant yellow color, delicate fragrance, and round shape, the Dien pomelo is increasingly chosen by many families as a decorative highlight in their spring celebrations.
