Breaking through after merger, Hai Phong aims to become the 'FDI capital' of the North

In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, Hai Phong attracted more than 905 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI). From July 1, the merger with Hai Duong province is expected to provide more resources for the (new) Hai Phong City to expand its development space, improve its competitiveness and attract more strategic FDI flows, affirming its role as one of the bright spots on the national investment map in the new era.
