The whole family fell into the sea, who would you save first?

Episode 1 of I am Miss Universe Vietnam just aired on the evening of October 27, recording new developments in the preliminary round of the contest in Ho Chi Minh City.

In this episode, Miss H'Hen Nie caused a heated controversy when she asked a question that was considered inappropriate to a contestant.

Specifically, in Xuan Hanh's competition, H'Hen Nie asked the question: "Your whole family got on a boat, on which you, your parents and your younger brother were on board. Unfortunately, the boat sank and everyone fell into the sea, who was the first person you saved?". H'Hen Nie affirmed that it was just "a fun question".

Faced with the unexpected question, contestant Xuan Hanh was stunned for a few seconds. Immediately after, she calmly made the choice to save the person closest to her. The answer satisfied H'hen Nie with her reasonable response.

After the show aired, many felt dissatisfied with the question that was considered "fun" as H'hen Nie said. Some opinions said that H'Hen Nie's question was not suitable to evaluate the contestants, even rude even though this was a hypothesis.

Many viewers expressed their opposition to H'Hen Nie's question, saying that the question was very disrespectful to the contestant.

Furthermore, many people commented that if it was a funny question, the organizers wouldn't need to edit it and post it on air, creating a lot of controversy. The content of the question when read aloud doesn't seem "funny" at all.

H'Hen Niê was born in 1992 and was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2017. She competed in Miss Universe 2018 and entered the Top 5 (Vietnam's best achievement in this contest). She mainly works in the fashion industry and will act in the film project 578: Madman's Bullet in 2022.

After nearly 6 years of being crowned, H'Hen Nie is remembered by many people with the title "Ede girl". However, there are also audiences who affectionately call her "national beauty queen". Since being crowned, H'Hen Nie has also been loved for her friendly personality and has rarely been involved in scandals.
