Young people should accept failure to learn success lessons.

F88 CEO - Mr. Phung Anh Tuan shared inspirational, meaningful real-life stories to hundreds of students who are orienting their careers.

In his sharing at the Fintech Career Unlock workshop co-organized by the Banking Academy and F88 last weekend, CEO Phung Anh Tuan opened with an inspirational quote: "Accept failure to learn from success". He emphasized that failure is not the end, but an important stepping stone to gain valuable experiences. It was the failures in the past that helped him grow up, become more stable and build F88.

He recounted that before founding F88, he had experienced many failed startups in the fields of cybersecurity and technology. Mistakes ranging from poor management, lack of financial control to failure to meet customer needs taught him valuable lessons. When starting F88, he faced social prejudices about pawn services - a field that was inherently negatively labeled. Instead of giving up, he saw an opportunity to improve the customer experience. He built a modern, transparent pawn model with a system of spacious stores, clear processes and professional services. Despite initial doubts, F88 has gradually asserted its position and become one of the leading companies in the field of microfinance in Vietnam.

F88 CEO - Phung Anh Tuan also shared about the initial difficulties when starting a business, from lack of capital, lack of experience to wrong decisions in management.

However, he always maintains the spirit of learning, is not afraid of change and is ready to face challenges. The real stories from his own experiences have strongly inspired the students, besides, he also mentioned new thinking. He advised the students to set clear goals for the next 3-5 years, persistently take small steps and always keep the spirit of progress.

"The first 5 years after graduation are the golden time to accumulate knowledge and skills. Work hard, try to participate in as many projects, programs, and competitions as possible, and find good mentors to learn from. Just work hard and opportunities will come." Mr. Tuan added: "If I could go back, I wish I had studied more and found a good mentor to avoid unnecessary mistakes."

Mr. Bach Ngoc An - Deputy General Director in charge of OPES technology and Mr. Pham Duc Duy - Director of BAAS TRIBE project, digital banking block, MB Military Bank also share the same opinion: "Students, just keep doing it, keep failing, do as much as possible, and most importantly, you must be steadfast, only then will it help you grow up".

Contributing to promoting and creating opportunities for young people to accumulate practical knowledge and practice skills, the workshop also announced the Finspark competition. This competition is introduced as a platform to help students access practical knowledge and practice skills under the guidance of leading experts to support talent development in the first Fintech field in Vietnam, sponsored by F88 with three main stages: Talent Search Round (February 21 to March 16) - a program to receive and screen applications, interview to find candidates with basic knowledge and a breakthrough spirit. Intensive Training Round (March 24 to April 11) - providing practical knowledge and development thinking based on specific projects. Practical Round (April 14 to May 24): Candidates test products in a real environment, with support from the Coach/Mentor team coordinated by F88.

CEO Phung Anh Tuan encourages students to proactively seek opportunities and take advantage of all resources to develop themselves. "FindSpark is an opportunity. If you really want to develop in the Fintech industry, join, learn and practice with experts," he emphasized.

In the current contextof education and labor market in Vietnam, many students are facing a situation of unclear career orientation. As one of the leading potential markets in Southeast Asia, Fintech Vietnam currently has great room for development. However, the market also faces many challenges, including high-quality human resources. Finspark competition will be a playground for young people to explore new trends, provide practical knowledge, learn from experts and also an opportunity for them to find a breakthrough in their career.
