VietinBank branches contribute 3.39 billion VND to support people in flood-affected areas

On the afternoon of December 6, representatives of VietinBank Phu Yen Branch visited, encouraged, and presented 100 million VND to support the people of Phu Yen ward to join hands to share the difficulties after the recent floods.

From this support fund, representatives of VietinBank Phu Yen Branch presented 10 gifts, each worth 5 million VND to households with severely damaged houses; and also reserved 100 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to support households facing difficulties due to the impact of floods.

The gifts not only have material value but also are timely sharing, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives.

Representative of VietinBank Phu Yen Branch presented symbolic board and gifts to support flood victims in Phu Yen ward.

Mr. Hoang Anh Minh, Director of VietinBank Phu Yen Branch, said that the recent historic flood has caused heavy damage to people in the eastern part of Dak Lak . Faced with these difficulties, VietinBank Phu Yen Branch has proactively mobilized staff and employees in the branch, along with other branches, to join hands to contribute a total of 3.39 billion VND to support our compatriots.

Of which, 2 billion VND was transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for allocation according to the general plan; the remaining funds were directly donated by VietinBank Phu Yen Branch in coordination with other branches to people in heavily affected communes and wards.

Representatives of local authorities expressed their appreciation for the generosity of the staff and workers of VietinBank branches; and said that this support is of practical significance at a time when localities are focusing on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, repairing houses, restoring production and stabilizing people's lives.

This support activity continues to affirm VietinBank's role and social responsibility to the community, spreading the spirit of mutual love and affection in society.
