Lam Dong coastal localities enter peak season to welcome winter visitors

Room occupancy at many accommodation facilities and resorts has reached above average and has recorded a gradual increase in bookings, especially during Christmas and New Year. Tourism service businesses and accommodation facilities are expecting the number of visitors to grow by 10-15% compared to 2024. In addition, the recorded visitor market is also more abundant and diverse than before.

Mr. Dang Minh Huy, CEO of Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa, said that the winter guests are mainly long-stay guests, usually from 7 to 20 days. Not only focusing on one market, the resort is currently welcoming a diverse range of guests from Poland, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy and other high-end markets.

Mui Ne is becoming a destination chosen by many international tourists to enjoy their winter vacation thanks to its warm, fresh climate and beautiful sunny skies all year round. This place is not only an ideal resort but also an attractive "playground" for those who love sea sports such as kite surfing, jet skiing or SUP. Besides the advantages of climate and landscape, indigenous culture contributes to creating the unique appeal of Mui Ne. Coastal fishing villages, traditional crafts and local cuisine give visitors the opportunity to experience the authentic, close-knit life of coastal people.

Mr. Stuart Thompson, a tourist from England, felt that instead of experiencing the cold winter and paying for the increasing electricity and heating bills, we chose to go on vacation in a sunny place. We comfortably played sports on the beach. Although it sometimes rained and was cloudy, it still did not affect our vacation much.

Grasping the tastes of tourists, accommodation establishments, tourism service businesses, and resorts in Mui Ne have invested in additional amenities, building combo packages focusing on relaxation and health care. Mr. Le Van Tung, Director of Muine Express Company, said that the company is about to launch a "cooking class" and "street food" tour that combines telling local cultural stories through cooking activities to create a different experience for tourists during this year's peak season.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang, Vice Chairman of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee, said that in order to welcome visitors during this peak season, the locality has developed programs and plans in coordination with Lam Dong Province Tourism Association to continue improving service quality; strengthening security and order, environmental sanitation, urban planning and beautification. In particular, the locality is accelerating the completion of two projects to expand Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Huynh Thuc Khang road and Mui Ne wastewater treatment plant. The completion of these two major projects will create open space, convenient traffic, contributing to creating a good impression in the hearts of visitors.

Not only Mui Ne, many other tourist destinations in the region are entering the peak season to welcome international visitors. Beaches, resorts, cultural and ecological attractions in Hoa Thang, Phan Thiet, Tien Thanh, La Gi, etc. also recorded more international visitors. This is also the time for localities to promote their images and improve service quality to retain tourists and create momentum for tourism next year.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, in recent times, the Lam Dong tourism industry has implemented many synchronous solutions to attract international tourists. Promotion and advertising activities have been promoted through digitalizing destinations, strengthening international cooperation, and participating in major events at home and abroad.

Typically, the province has worked with the International Organization of the Francophone (OIF), the EU Political Counselor Delegation and delegations from India, Cuba, and South Korea to survey tourism products, thereby expanding cooperation and promoting the image of Lam Dong tourism to the world. The locality focuses on investment, diversifying products, developing key and potential tourism types, and at the same time, focusing on upgrading tourism infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of domestic and foreign tourists.

Thanks to that, in the first 10 months of 2025, Lam Dong welcomed nearly 1 million international visitors (an increase of 31.31% over the same period in 2024).
