Economies and businesses look forward to APEC 2027 in Vietnam

At APEC Korea 2025, President Luong Cuong sent a message about Vietnam's strong determination to innovate, promote investment attraction, and promote cooperation in priority areas.

President Luong Cuong has just successfully concluded his working trip to attend the APEC Summit Week and hold bilateral meetings in South Korea.

"President Luong Cuong's working trip was a great success with many important marks, both multilaterally and bilaterally," Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang told the press after the visit, according to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vietnam has many proposals for APEC

Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang pointed out that the President clearly affirmed Vietnam's viewpoints and approaches to major issues related to the future development of the region and the world, and at the same time made proposals to make APEC cooperation more substantive, bringing practical benefits to the development of the region and each member economy .

The proactive and responsible spirit, the approach promoting multilateralism, solidarity, international cooperation, as well as recommendations and solutions suitable to Vietnam's reality have made important contributions to the overall success of the conference, thereby continuing to enhance Vietnam's role and position at APEC, as well as multilateral mechanisms.

Along with that, the President conveyed to the APEC community a clear message about Vietnam's vision, policies and strong determination for innovation, especially major resolutions on national development in the new era.

Through this activity, Vietnam has deeply shared about development orientation, promoted investment attraction, promoted cooperation in priority areas such as digital transformation, green transformation, innovation and development of high-quality human resources.

"The speeches and messages of President Luong Cuong have left a strong impression on leaders and the business community about a Vietnam determined to innovate, create, and integrate to rise up and progress with the times in the current period of profound transformation," the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

According to Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, within the framework of his working trip to attend the 32nd APEC Summit Week, President Luong Cuong had a rich, effective and substantive bilateral working program.

The President held talks with the President of the Republic of Korea, received local leaders of the Republic of Korea, and met with the Vietnamese community in the southeastern region of the Republic of Korea.

The President also had many talks and meetings with leaders and heads of delegations of most APEC member economies to continuously strengthen the good relations and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and its partners, especially promoting economic, trade, investment, science and technology cooperation and new fields such as digital transformation, green transformation, artificial intelligence, etc.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, it is very gratifying that APEC members and the business community have enthusiastically supported, expressed their trust and looked forward to coming to Vietnam and Phu Quoc in 2027 to participate in the activities of APEC Year 2027 hosted by Vietnam.

"This is an honor, a pride and also a great responsibility that we need to make every effort to fulfill well, thereby continuing to contribute to promoting the APEC cooperation process, and at the same time contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 59 on international integration in the new situation that our Party has set forth," Ms. Hang shared.
