Banks in Lam Dong support people of D'ran commune to overcome damage after flood

After prolonged heavy rains caused landslides and serious flooding in D'ran commune, a number of banks in Lam Dong province have deployed emergency support activities to help people stabilize their lives soon.

Agribank Lam Dong Branch presented 200 million VND in support in D'ran

In this support period, Agribank Lam Dong Branch directly donated 200 million VND to help the locality overcome the damage.

Along with the cash aid, Agribank Duc Trong Branch, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of D'ran Commune, donated 180 electric kettles, 30 rice cookers, 80 blankets, 12 rechargeable lamps and 1,500 notebooks to students. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Commune also received 200 blankets, 200 mosquito nets and 200 pillows supported by Agribank Don Duong Branch.

Agribank Don Duong Branch transported mosquito nets, blankets and pillows to give to the people of D'ran commune.

In addition to material support, Agribank also reduced loan interest rates by 0.5% to 2% per year for customers affected by storms and floods, in order to facilitate the restoration of production and business activities.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of D'Ran commune receives support

Previously, the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of Lam Dong province also visited and presented gifts to support people in D'ran commune.

The Provincial Social Policy Bank's grassroots trade union and the Don Duong Social Policy Bank's transaction office donated 23 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; and an additional 20 million VND to affected households.

The Board of Directors of the People's Credit Fund of Lam Dong province visited and encouraged households affected by floods.

The delegation also provided 14 million VND in direct support to 7 households whose houses were completely collapsed. Previously, the provincial Social Policy Bank also provided 3 million VND in support to families whose relatives died due to landslides in Lac Duong 3 commune.

The timely activities of Agribank and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Lam Dong Branch demonstrate the spirit of sharing and supporting people in disaster-hit areas to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
