Inspecting the factories, Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang acknowledged the proactive spirit and efforts of the SBIC Corporation's Board of Directors to its member units in directing, implementing prevention and overcoming the consequences after the storm. The Deputy Minister commended the collectives of workers for their solidarity, sharing, helping each other, overcoming difficulties, repairing factories, equipment, etc., joining hands with the unit to soon organize and restore production. According to the reports of the units, after storm No. 3, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company (Quang Ninh) suffered 6 damaged cranes, the most serious of which was the broken 300T gantry crane; 1 damaged trailer; about 37,000m2 of office and workshop roofs were blown off; 80% of the trees in the company were fallen and broken; 162/1,198 workers' families suffered damage due to the storm.

Ha Long Shipbuilding Company (Quang Ninh) had a 300T gantry crane broken, damaging many factories.
Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company (Hai Phong) had a KONE 10T pedestal crane collapse; a 2,000T Ponton sink at the wharf in the company; 80% of the factory and office roofs were blown off and no longer intact; 83 families of workers lost their property, houses, crops, and livestock. Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company also had a 2x5T outdoor gantry crane collapse; some ships under repair were flooded with rainwater; many welding machines, cutting machines, and office computers were flooded with rainwater due to roofs being blown off and water splashing; many factories and offices had their roofs blown off; many families of workers suffered damage. Some other factories were also affected to a lesser extent such as: corrugated iron roofs being blown off, glass doors broken, and trees falling such as: Thinh Long Shipbuilding Company, Nam Ha Shipbuilding Industry Company, Song Dao Shipbuilding Industry Company ( Nam Dinh ); Thanh Long Shipbuilding Company, An Dong Shipbuilding Industry Company (Hai Phong),... Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang requested SBIC leaders to direct member units affected by the storm to quickly coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to record damage, invest, repair and overcome the consequences as quickly as possible, ensuring compliance with regulations, procedures and instructions of all levels on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. At the same time, calculate the costs incurred when cleaning up, dismantling and repairing equipment to update and report to relevant agencies.

Many workshops at shipyards had their roofs blown off and were severely damaged by the storm.
“Units need to pay attention to ensuring labor safety when resuming production after the storm, and review the safety of factories and equipment when returning to work. Along with that, units need to quickly meet with ship owners to negotiate, remove difficulties, restore production to ensure quality, delivery progress as well as promote new contracts. In addition, promptly visit, support and encourage workers in difficult circumstances and families that suffered heavy losses,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang directed. SBIC leaders affirmed that they will continue to be determined to take all measures to quickly overcome the consequences so that units can soon stabilize production, ensure progress and quality of products and strive to complete production and business tasks in 2024.
