With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress affirmed its determination to promote the strength of great national unity, strengthen democracy and social consensus, join hands to build An Giang to develop rapidly and sustainably, and join the whole country in entering a new era.
Attending the Congress were Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai; representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; provincial leaders; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor in the renovation period and representatives of all walks of life in the province.
The Congress elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, term I, consisting of 129/132 members, representing all walks of life, ethnic groups, religions, intellectuals and overseas Vietnamese. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, continued to be elected as Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for the 2025-2030 term, along with 8 Vice Chairmen. The Congress elected 17 official delegates to attend the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates for the 2026-2031 term.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province, term I, to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's policies and guidelines on great national unity. Emulation movements and campaigns must be deployed promptly, synchronously, strongly oriented to the grassroots, suitable to the practical life of the people and attract the active participation of all classes of people. The movements need to promote the people's mastery to the highest level according to the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit". The Front and socio- political organizations at all levels play a core role in propagating, mobilizing, organizing and effectively implementing emulation movements, building many pilot models and strongly replicating them in association with the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security and political tasks of localities, agencies and units.
The Front has promoted its role as a representative, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, regularly listening to and grasping the people's thoughts and aspirations, promptly reporting to the Party Committee and the government for consideration and resolution right at the grassroots level. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels innovates the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction, closely following the political tasks of the province every year and term; effectively implementing the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for the 2025-2030 term, creating clear changes right at the grassroots level. The Fatherland Front at all levels actively propagates and mobilizes people to effectively implement the strategic resolutions of the Politburo and the policies and development orientations of the province in the new period, well preparing for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, truly a festival for all people.
The Congress set out the direction and action program for the 2025 - 2030 term with specific goals: 100% of Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and at least 95% of member organizations apply information technology and digital transformation in their operations; 100% of the Front Work Committees in residential areas establish "Digital Technology Teams" in 2026, maintaining effective operations; 100% of cadres, party members, union members, association members and 95% of the people are thoroughly informed, learn, disseminate and propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the Front's work program; have at least 1 typical project or task, contributing to building and serving the community, associated with the socio-economic development tasks of the locality, contributing to improving the quality of people's lives. The Fatherland Front at all levels mobilizes the "For the Poor" Fund to achieve and exceed targets, complete poverty reduction programs; 100% of poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households have access to social security policies, receive support, visits and gifts during holidays and Tet...
In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province has achieved many important achievements in patriotic emulation movements. Notably, it completed the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 with 9,082 houses (7,185 newly built houses, 1,897 repaired houses), with a total cost of over 480 billion VND; implemented the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", recognized cultural households annually reaching over 90% and cultural residential areas reaching 99%; mobilized the "For the Poor" fund to receive over 145 billion VND, built and repaired 2,723 solidarity houses...
