The FedEx Cup Play-offs are an annual series of three tournaments that conclude each season on the PGA Tour. In addition to the prize money being significantly higher than the regular season tournaments, winning the FedEx Cup also affirms the brand value of top golfers.
Recently, the PGA Tour system compiled indexes to find a list of the best golfers at FedEx Cup in the last 5 seasons.
Topping this list is surprisingly the 2021 champion Patrick Cantlay (USA), with an average position over 5 seasons of 6.4. Specifically, Patrick Cantlay won the 2021 championship, ranked 7th in 2022, ranked 5th in 2023, ranked 17th in 2024 and ranked second in 2025.

Coming in second is the world's number one golfer, who is considered to have the most consistent playing style at the moment, Scottie Scheffler (USA). The American golfer's average position over the past 5 seasons is 7: 22nd in 2021, 2nd in 2022, 6th in 2023, champion in 2024 and 4th in 2025.
Ranked 3rd is Viktor Hovland (Norway), the champion of 2023, with an average position of 9. Ranked 4th is Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), the champion of 2022, with an average position of 10.
Right behind Rory McIlroy is Xander Schauffele (USA). The 2020 Tokyo Olympic champion has not reached the top podium in the FedEx Cup in the last 5 seasons, but his average position in the last 5 seasons is still very good: 11th. Xander Schauffele's highest achievement in the last 5 FedEx Cup seasons is 2nd in 2023.
