The National Steering Committee for Civil Defense has just issued Official Dispatch No. 33/CD-BCĐ-BNNMT requesting the Ministries (Defense, Public Security, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs , Science and Technology), relevant sectors and People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Tri to An Giang, to proactively respond to the tropical depression near the East Sea.

According to the dispatch, a tropical depression is currently active in the sea east of the Philippines. At 8:00 a.m. on November 24, the center of the tropical depression was at about 9.5 degrees North latitude; 127.8 degrees East longitude; the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was at level 7, gusting to level 9.

The tropical depression is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20km/h, expected to enter the southeast sea area of ​​the central East Sea, heading towards the central region and is likely to strengthen into a storm in the context of the South Central region overcoming the consequences of serious rain and floods.

In the face of the above situation, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities from Quang Tri to An Giang and relevant ministries and branches to proactively and closely monitor the warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of the tropical depression; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.

In particular, the provinces in the South Central region urgently focus on overcoming the consequences, restoring production and business, and stabilizing people's lives after the recent historic rains and floods according to Official Dispatch No. 227/CD-TTg dated November 23, 2025 of the Prime Minister; be ready to prepare to respond to the next natural disaster.

Along with that, the People's Committees of provinces, cities and ministries and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation; organize serious on-duty shifts, regularly report to the National Civil Defense Steering Committee (through the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control)./.
