Cam Ly cares for policy beneficiaries

BAC NINH - To ensure the rights of policy beneficiaries in the area, as soon as the 2-level local government model was put into operation, Cam Ly commune (Bac Ninh) proactively reviewed, made a list and fully and promptly implemented social security policies according to regulations.

In the field of elderly care, up to now, the Department of Culture and Society of Cam Ly commune has issued 362 decisions to adjust the allowance regime for people aged 80 and over to social pension regime; 7 decisions to adjust the regime for the elderly aged 70 to under 75 to social pension regime. The commune also issued 22 decisions to provide allowances for single parents raising young children and 10 decisions to stop receiving monthly social protection allowances.

Regarding social assistance policies, the commune organized the payment of allowances to 12 disabled people, resolved 10 cases of burial expenses and 22 cases of cremation support. Along with that, completed the review and updated information for 115 members of poor households according to regulations; gave 204 gifts, 2 bicycles and 1 set of school supplies to children in difficult circumstances.

The synchronous and timely implementation of social security policies clearly demonstrates the responsibility of local authorities in caring for people's lives, especially disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. Thereby, it contributes to ensuring social security, creating motivation to help people rise up and sustainably reduce poverty.
