Tonight in Ho Chi Minh City, the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 will officially open, ready to welcome locals and tourists to celebrate the spring festival.

The flower street will be open to visitors until 9 PM on February 22, 2026 (from the 28th day of the 12th lunar month to the 6th day of the Lunar New Year).

The atmosphere on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street on the morning of December 15th was very hectic, with workers busily adding fresh flowers, adjusting miniature landscapes, cleaning the ground, and testing the lighting and projection systems.

At the entrance gate, the Year of the Horse mascot, nearly 7 meters tall and about 9 meters long, is depicted with its hooves raised, covered in a vibrant golden color, standing out prominently in the city center.

The fountain area in the middle of the flower street is decorated with miniature gardens and stylized horse mascots, creating a lively highlight for the spring atmosphere.

The miniature scene "Horse Returning Home in Glory" evokes traditional imagery, conveying a message of filial piety and success at the beginning of spring.

The grand scene

The grand scene "Ly Ngua O" (Black Horse Song) recreates the vibrant culture of Southern Vietnam with lacquer effects combined with shimmering 3D holographic cloud and wave patterns.

Along the street, numerous horse models of various sizes and styles are arranged interspersed among flower gardens and miniature landscapes.

In particular, the 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street boasts a completely new scale, showcasing two distinct day-night experiences within the same space—something unprecedented in the past 23 years.

During the day, over 100,000 baskets of flowers display their vibrant colors. When night falls, the lighting system and projection technology transform the street into a dazzling art space.

With the lighting system on the flower street switched on, visitors will be treated to a spectacular light show and groundbreaking mapping technology, creating a new and exciting attraction for those who have visited Nguyen Hue Flower Street many times before.

Earlier that morning, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, along with the Art Council, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

Ms. Thuy and the Art Council provided specific feedback on each item, project, flower arrangement, and color coordination between different types of flowers.
