On the afternoon of January 14th, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu presided over the opening ceremony of the Press Center for the 14th Party Congress and an international press conference on the 14th Party Congress. Prior to the press conference, Standing Committee member Tran Cam Tu, along with other Party and State leaders, attended the opening of exhibition spaces celebrating the 14th Party Congress.

At the press conference, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu announced that the 14th National Congress of the Party will officially take place in Hanoi from January 19th to January 25th. The Congress will be attended by 1,586 delegates, representing over 5 million members of the Communist Party of Vietnam . The Congress will also welcome former Party and State leaders, former members of the Politburo, former members of the Party Central Committee, former members of the Party Central Committee, as well as representatives of intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, and outstanding youth from all over the country.

The main hall features a full-body statue of President Ho Chi Minh looking down upon the congress; on one side is the national flag and on the other is the Party flag. This is in accordance with regulations, but also a difference from the previous term, demonstrating the gratitude and respect of the congress for President Ho Chi Minh – the founder, leader, and mentor of our Party.
