Following the series of storms and floods in November 2025, the Ha Thanh River (the section flowing through Gia Lai province) suffered serious erosion, with many areas deeply eroding agricultural land, threatening villages, highways, and structures along the riverbanks.

The banks of the Ha Thanh River, stretching for many kilometers through Canh Vinh and Van Canh communes ( Gia Lai province), are severely eroded, causing the riverbed to become deformed. Rice paddies and gardens belonging to residents along the Ha Thanh River (in Tan Loi village, Canh Vinh commune) were swept away by floods, affecting thousands of meters of land. Landslides swept away all the land and gardens, encroaching on people's houses in Tan Loi village, Canh Vinh commune. The Ba Luong stream, originally very small, was completely destroyed by floods, creating a new waterway along the Ha Thanh River. Floods have devastated fields and houses, threatening National Highway 19 and the North-South railway in Hon Me village, Van Canh commune. Floods have devastated the fields and farmlands of the people in Hon Me village, Van Canh commune. The house hangs precariously over the landslide area in Hon Me village, Van Canh commune. Fields and structures in Hon Me village were completely destroyed by the flood. The house of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam (49 years old, Hon Me village), with 7 family members, is perched precariously on the edge of a landslide, posing an extremely dangerous situation. Many households in Hon Me village had their fields and farmland severely damaged by the floods, making it impossible to restore them for production. Floods have eroded and devastated agricultural land in Van Canh commune. A stream in the central residential area of Van Canh commune has suffered severe erosion.
