According to Mr. Vinh, the cause is that the rock layer above the tunnel has been weathered for many years, eroding and breaking the tunnel cover. "The repair work was supposed to be completed by 4:30 this morning, but the rock continued to slide once again. The first time the volume was equivalent to about 180 cubic meters of rock and soil, the second time it was more than 50 cubic meters of rock and soil, and now it is still continuing to slide. Although the railway industry has mobilized human resources, material resources and all means, it is really very difficult at this point. The expected time to open the road is unpredictable," said Mr. Vinh.
