Can Tho appoints and awards decisions to many key personnel

On the morning of December 8, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Can Tho City held conferences to announce decisions on personnel work.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has decided to remove Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Chief Inspector of the City, from the position of Chief Inspector of the City and related positions; transfer and appoint her to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Cai Khe Ward for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, Ms. Thanh Thuy was introduced to be appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the People's Council of Cai Khe Ward for the 2021-2026 term.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee announced the decision for Mr. Huynh Trung Tru, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Cai Khe Ward, to cease participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, cease holding the position of Party Secretary of Cai Khe Ward and related positions; transfer to the City People's Committee to take up tasks assigned by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The City People's Committee has issued a decision to accept and appoint Mr. Le Trong Nguyen, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Cu Lao Dung Commune, to hold the position of Chief Inspector of Can Tho City. The decision is valid for 5 years from the date of signing.

Mr. Le Thanh Tam, former Director of the Department of Finance of Can Tho City (old), was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Finance of Can Tho City, for a term of 5 years from the date of signing.

Mr. Ly Hoang Phong, Head of the Immigration Management Department of Can Tho City Police, a seconded police officer, was assigned to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs during his secondment.

Mr. Huynh Trung Tru, Party Secretary, Chairman of Cai Khe Ward People's Council, was accepted and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of Can Tho City Institute of Socio -Economics, for a term of 5 years from the date of signing.

Mr. Vo Minh Canh, Deputy Director of the City Institute of Socio-Economics, was transferred to the City Cooperative Alliance according to plan 03 of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City.

Mr. Le Hoang Thanh, Vice Principal of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology, was assigned as principal from December 1 until the principal position is completed.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Le Thanh Tam - Director of the Department of Finance - expressed his gratitude for the trust of the City People's Committee leaders in him. At the same time, he promised to fulfill all assigned responsibilities to the best of his ability.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - hoped that units would be reorganized and have additional positions to create conditions for individuals to perform their tasks well and promote the spirit of solidarity and unity of the collective.

Mr. Hoa also requested that the appointed individuals quickly take up new tasks, perform well the assigned tasks, and help the agency successfully achieve the set goals.
