According to the proposal of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the new policy will subsidize tuition fees for public educational institutions and support 100% of tuition fees for students studying at private and non-public institutions.
The goal is to give non-public students the same benefits as public students, contributing to the implementation of a fair education policy.
Tuition fees at public preschools and general education institutions that are not self-sufficient in regular expenses are specifically regulated by region.
Preschool and primary school children: 100,000 VND/month/student (ward), 90,000 VND/month/student (commune).
Secondary school students: 120,000 VND/month (ward), 100,000 VND/month (commune).
High school students: 140,000 VND/month (ward), 120,000 VND/month (commune).
For online learning, tuition fees will be 75% of the prescribed rate.
Can Tho City People's Committee emphasized the necessity of the resolution to improve the quality of education, support students, especially children in difficult circumstances and non-public educational institutions.
