
The delegates of the Can Tho City People's Council have approved a resolution stipulating the criteria, conditions, procedures, content, and level of support from the local budget for key digital technology product manufacturing projects; research and development, design, production, packaging, and testing projects for semiconductor chips; artificial intelligence data center construction projects; and innovative startup projects in the digital technology industry in the city.
The total estimated cost required is approximately VND 602.80 billion in the first year and over VND 2.355 billion over the five-year implementation period. Funding for these support activities will be allocated from local budgets as per regulations.
The beneficiaries of this support include domestic and foreign businesses; organizations, intermediary organizations, individuals, groups of individuals, and domestic businesses implementing innovative startup projects; and agencies, organizations, and individuals involved in the management, evaluation, approval, and supervision of the support.

The maximum support level stipulated in the resolution for key digital technology projects, semiconductor chips, and artificial intelligence includes: 10% of factory construction costs, 10% of technical infrastructure costs, and 10% of equipment and machinery costs (the support level is not exceeding VND 200 billion per project, and each enterprise is only eligible for support once).
For innovative startup projects in the digital technology industry, the following costs will be supported: startup consulting (30%, not exceeding VND 220 million/project); human resource training and development (30%, not exceeding VND 240 million/project), attracting human resources (40%, not exceeding VND 280 million/project), research and development and pilot production (50%, not exceeding VND 360 million/project), technology acquisition and technological innovation (50%, not exceeding VND 1.7 billion/project)...
