Can Tho launches Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week

Can Tho's Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week with the highlight being the exhibition space for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation with more than 50 booths, showcasing over 500 products and technologies in various fields.

On the morning of December 9, Can Tho City People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize the launching ceremony of the Can Tho City Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week in 2025.

The main week will take place from December 16 to 20 with a series of 20 activities, including the highlight of the exhibition space for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation with more than 50 booths, showcasing over 500 products and technologies in the fields of national security, cybersecurity, smart cities, financial technology, education, agriculture , tourism, food technology, logistics... with the participation of many international partners.

There are also forums such as: Mekong Delta Sustainable Development Forum with a vision to 2045, Innovation Initiative Forum - Can Tho - a livable city, 1st Can Tho City Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Forum...

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Khoi said the activities and events of the week focus on three major goals.

The first is to effectively implement Resolution No. 57/2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Second, introduce outstanding achievements and spread typical innovation and digital transformation models inside and outside the city; honor innovation and digital transformation models effectively applied in production, administration, and life; expand opportunities for commercialization of science and technology products, connect technology supply and demand, and contribute to promoting the local science and technology market.

Third is to synthesize proposals, opinions and recommendations from experts, businesses and organizations (through forums in the event series) as a basis for policy making and action plans on innovation and digital transformation in the coming time.
