With the theme "Can Tho - A Center for Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation," the event not only created a breakthrough in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, attracting cooperation and investment for startup activities, but also affirmed Can Tho's role as a connecting hub and driving force of the Mekong Delta region.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Nguyen Van Khoi, delivered a speech launching the Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week 2025.

In Can Tho City, the science and technology sector has achieved several important results in recent years, contributing to socio-economic development, such as: the institutional framework, science and technology infrastructure, innovation, and digital transformation are gradually being improved, and their exploitation and development are being strengthened.

High-quality human resources in science and technology are prioritized, and research, development, and application of science and technology are focused on meeting socio-economic, national defense, and security requirements.

The innovation and startup ecosystem in Can Tho City continues to develop and expand in the local and regional strengths, connecting with the region and internationally.

Digital transformation and smart urban development are being focused on to improve operational efficiency, increase competitiveness, create new value, and achieve sustainable development.

The event will take place from December 16-20, and is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors with a series of 20 activities and events, and over 50 exhibition booths showcasing more than 500 groundbreaking technology products ranging from artificial intelligence and financial technology to green technology and smart agriculture.

The event activities focused on effectively implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on Breakthroughs in the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and National Digital Transformation.

Introducing outstanding achievements and disseminating exemplary models of innovation and digital transformation within and outside the city. Honoring innovative and digital transformation models that are effectively applied in production, management, and daily life; expanding opportunities for commercializing scientific and technological products, connecting technology supply and demand, and contributing to promoting the local science and technology market.

Synthesize proposals, opinions, and recommendations from experts, businesses, and organizations to serve as a basis for formulating policies and action plans on innovation and digital transformation in the coming period.
