Can Tho: Regulations on reward levels for coaches and athletes achieving high results.

The People's Council of Can Tho City has issued Resolution No. 47/2025/NQ-HĐND on regulations regarding the reward levels for coaches and athletes who achieve success in sports competitions; and the support levels for coaches and athletes summoned to the national team and the national youth team.

This resolution stipulates the policy on reward levels for coaches and athletes who achieve success in sports competitions; and the level of support for coaches and athletes summoned to the national team and national youth team; applicable within Can Tho city.

Can Tho City issues regulations on reward levels for coaches and athletes achieving high results.

The subjects covered by this Resolution include: Coaches and athletes of Can Tho City (including coaches and athletes with disabilities) who are sent by competent authorities to compete and achieve success at international and national sports competitions; Coaches and athletes who are sent by competent authorities to compete and achieve success at city-level and commune-level sports competitions; Coaches and athletes of Can Tho City who are summoned by competent authorities to the national team, national youth team, and other relevant agencies, units, organizations, and individuals.

Accordingly, the bonus for athletes winning Olympic medals and World Championship medals in Group I sports is 15 million VND/person/month; in Group II sports it is 12 million VND/person/month; and in Group III sports it is 7 million VND/person/month.

The bonus for athletes who win medals at the Youth Olympic Games and the Youth World Championships in Group I sports is 9 million VND/person/month; in Group II sports it is 8.4 million VND/person/month; and in Group III it is 5 million VND/person/month.

The bonus for athletes who win medals at the Asian Games and Asian Championships in Group I sports is 7 million VND/person/month; in Group II sports it is 6 million VND/person/month; and in Group III it is 4 million VND/person/month.

The entitlement period is one cycle of the competition, starting from the date the achievement is made. The grouping of sports is determined by the regulations of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who announces the list of sports and competition events belonging to Group I, Group II, and Group III.

Regarding the reward system for athletes achieving success at various sports events and competitions at all levels, for the National Sports/Physical Education Congress, athletes winning a gold medal will receive 15 million VND, a silver medal 9 million VND, and a bronze medal 6 million VND, with an additional 6 million VND awarded for each record-breaking achievement.

For national/national championships, athletes winning gold medals will receive a prize of 10 million VND, silver medals 6 million VND, and bronze medals 4 million VND, with an additional 4 million VND awarded for each record-breaking achievement.
