Answer: According to current regulations on health standards for selecting citizens for military service, cases with eye diseases such as nearsightedness, farsightedness with glasses from 1.5 to 3 degrees will be classified as unqualified health (Type 3 or higher) and may be eligible for temporary deferment of military service. Article 41, Clause 3 of the 2015 Law on Military Service stipulates postponement and exemption from military service as follows:

In case the Military Service Health Examination Council concludes that the citizen is not fit for military service after the health examination, the citizen will be temporarily deferred. If the citizen's health is then satisfactory according to the conclusion of the Health Examination Council and does not fall into the cases of exemption, deferment, etc., then he/she can join military service.
Note: Every year, if there is a medical examination order, citizens must still perform it to receive a conclusion from the Military Service Medical Examination Council.
