According to our investigation, a few hundred meters upstream from the water extraction plant of Ha Giang Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company, a deserted stretch of riverbank near Phung Hung Street, Ha Giang 2 Ward, has become a dumping ground for waste due to residents' lack of awareness and illegal dumping. A considerable amount of various types of waste are dumped along the banks of the Mien River.
