According to the Da Nang City Department of Finance, the unit has received the application for approval of the investment policy and investor approval submitted by Da Nang Port. According to the proposed plan, the enterprise recommends applying the investor selection method based on simultaneous approval of the investment policy and investor approval, without auctioning land use rights or holding a bidding process to select the investor.
To ensure compliance with legal regulations and to determine the number of interested investors, the Da Nang City Department of Finance has announced an invitation for interested investors to submit applications for approval of the investment policy and investor approval for this project.
The Hoa Nhon Inland Port and Logistics Center project is planned to be implemented in Ba Na commune, Da Nang city. The project site is located adjacent to the access road along the southern bypass of the Hai Van tunnel, the Hoa Vang Logistics Service Center, and the residential area of Ba Na commune.
According to assessments, this area has advantages in transportation connectivity and logistics infrastructure, facilitating the transshipment of goods between seaports, industrial zones, high-tech zones, and important transportation hubs in the Central region.
The project aims to create an inland port combined with a modern logistics center, meeting the logistics needs of functional zones in Da Nang City and the surrounding area. At the same time, the project contributes to strengthening connectivity with the Central Vietnam key economic region and the East-West economic corridor, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of the city.
According to the proposal, the project will provide a comprehensive logistics service ecosystem, including: cargo handling; warehousing and storage (bonded warehouses, cold storage, and other specialized warehouses); agency services, forwarding, logistics, and transport support services; road freight transport; maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, transport vehicles, and container shells.
Investment capital is raised from investor contributions and other legal sources. The project's operating period is 50 years from the date of approval by the competent authority.
The Hoa Nhon Inland Port – Logistics Center project is not the only project in Da Nang Port's infrastructure expansion strategy. Prior to this, at the end of 2025, the company also proposed approval of the investment policy and investor approval, without auctioning land use rights or bidding for investor selection, to implement the Lien Chieu General, Bulk, and Container Terminal construction project.
In terms of business performance, in 2025, Da Nang Port recorded total pre-tax profit of VND 460 billion, an increase of 22.6% compared to VND 375 billion in 2024, demonstrating strong financial capacity to implement expansion projects.
The implementation of large-scale projects such as Lien Chieu Port and Hoa Nhon Inland Port is expected to enhance Da Nang Port's competitiveness in the logistics sector, while also creating momentum for economic development in the Central region.
