Responding to the campaign " VIMC - 40 days of lightning speed" launched by Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC), in the last days of 2025, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company entered the "sprint" stage to exceed the targets: cargo throughput, opening new service routes and completing the infrastructure system.
Regarding production and business, Hai Phong Port strives to achieve the target of handling 250,000 TEU containers by the end of 2025 to reach the milestone of 2 million TEUs throughput for the whole year. Of which, Tan Vu Port (a unit of Hai Phong Port) reached 1 million TEU containers throughput in early December 2025. This is the 5th consecutive year that Tan Vu Port has achieved the above result.

At Lach Huyen port area, TIL Hai Phong Port International Port Company Limited - HTIT is urgently completing the construction of investment items and wharf infrastructure after berths 3 and 4. Previously, HTIT Port successfully welcomed the container ship MCS Kalina of MSC shipping line. This is the largest container ship ever to dock at Lach Huyen port area.
On November 25, Hai Phong Port cooperated with Beibu Group to welcome the first test ship of the new service route, connecting Beihai Port (Guangxi Province, China) - Hai Phong - United States at HTIT port.
Along with exploitation activities, Hai Phong Port speeds up the progress of dredging the channel from upstream of Nam Hai Dinh Vu port to upstream of Dinh Vu port to reach a depth of minus 8.5 m, capable of receiving large-tonnage container ships.
Also in this December, the 5,000 CV Azimuth tugboat, newly built by Hai Phong Port at Song Thu Corporation, will be handed over and put into operation. This will be the tugboat with the largest capacity of Hai Phong Port.
