The implementation of biometric check-in marks an important step in the modernization and digital transformation of the aviation industry, contributing to improving the passenger experience. Initially, the system is applied to passengers of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air on domestic flights. Passengers only need to use the VNeID application to authenticate their faces and follow the instructions to easily complete the online registration steps. Then go to the security check gate and the boarding gate to continue to be recognized by the system by face to board the plane without having to present documents or contact staff. For convenience, passengers need to use a VNeID level 2 electronic identification account and update the application to the latest version. At the same time, the paperless check-in system only applies to passengers aged 14 and over.
